Midsummer Romance

On a moonlit starry night,
we feel the calm of the wind.
We sit together in the field,
to see what our love will send.

We talk of our future,
and what our dreams will bring.
The music flows through our ears,
while the crickets softly sing.

We go inside to a candlelit room,
with soft music in the distance.
We dine at the table,
savouring or meal of romance.

We hold each other
caressing our skin so tender.
We share each other a kiss,
that turns our hearts to splendor.

The air is filled
with the scent of a rose.
Like the fruit from the tree,
we taste the love that arose.

We cuddle together,
me smelling your soft scent.
Looking into your eyes,
night dark with starry tint.

Through my body,
I feel the love.
Like a bird in flight,
I am like the dove.

We then lay down,
our hearts become one.
With you by my side,
our love shines like the sun.

When morning breaks,
we give a hug and a kiss to each other.
